Our Vision
The vision of the UF Internal Medicine Program is to: 1) Sustain an environment that fosters diversity, equity and inclusion among our housestaff and faculty. 2) Further increase resident scholarly activity and publications. 3) Expand the functionality of our quarterly EMR-driven Resident Performance Dashboard to teach and provide residents with feedback on practice habits, population health, and health disparities or social determinates of health. 4) Further cultivate resident wellness and resilience in an atmosphere of collegiality and inquiry. 5) Continue to increase variety of electives and faculty support to teach our residents in an expanding inpatient and outpatient hospital system.

Our Mission
The mission of the UF Medicine Residency program is to train residents to be compassionate, dedicated, and well-rounded internists by balancing academic rigor and clinical diversity with a supportive, inclusive and collegial learning environment. Our long-standing tradition of camaraderie, teamwork, and clinical innovation empowers residents to improve the health of the culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population in the Southeast region. We remain committed to providing an individualized training environment for each resident that caters to career interests, balances clinical autonomy with structured learning, and emphasizes scholarly research as well as personal-professional well-being.
