Congratulations to Ali Abbas on being named an AASLD 2015 Emerging Liver Scholar!

The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Emerging Liver Scholar Award is a resident program that promotes the study of hepatology among residents who have the potential for a career in academic medicine based on their research contribution. Each year the AASLD chose about 25 residents from a pool of applicants from medicine, pediatrics, and surgical residencies in the United States. All applicants have to be nominated by an AASLD member, then a special committee select the winners and invite them to attend the AASLD meeting and the post graduate course with full expense coverage. During the meeting, the award recipients are recognized and allowed vast networking opportunities with the leaders of the field nation-widely.
